How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?
My 1000000x attempt! Excuse the starting face!
What have you learned from your audience feedback?
When starting my product i intentded to use audience feedback to shape my ideas and help me finish my three products, i used questionaires, direct interviews and youtube to gather this information. I wanted advice on my products whilst also wanting feedback on my final products.
One of the first things i did was a interview with people of all various ages to see what they believe a pop video should include and also the pros and cons about them so i could try and make a video that would be liked by many different types of audiences. They gave me alot of valuable answers:
Another problem i have had which i have stated in an earlier post is that my video on you tube has no sound, this has ment that i have not got any audience feedback from ICT software. I am very disapointed with this as i know i will loose marks for this however it was unaviodable so i had to think of other ways to get audience feedback.....
I used my peers from my class, there is 21 of us in total so 20 without my input. I asked them all to watch my pop video and give me feedback which i could use if i was able to do my project again or even improve it. Some of the feedback included things such as

- they wanted dance routines
- they wanted a story line instead of it being focuse on the artist
- they wanted a meaning to the video, not just about a random subject
- they wanted symbols, not just dressed and makeup.

- "The camera shots are extremly well filmed, with no continiuity problems"
- "In the second dance routine the lighting appears to be much darker"
- "The storyline is well thought of and the props are used greatly to portray the storyline to the audience"
- "The locations such as the dance video is a great asset, it mirrors a real media product"
- "The costume choices looked amatuer"
- 18/20 people thought that there are no things i would need change in my video if i was to do this again.
- 10/20 people thought it wouldn't be sucsessful if it was distrubted in the media.
- I would have planned my video more extensively, planned everyshot as it was pointed out to me that there were some errors with the shots for example you can see the tri pod in one of them.
- I also would have used more equipment for example on my poster and digi pack i would have liked to used a varitey of programs like photo shop to make it a greater quality.
- I would have gathered more 'proffesional' props for example a more contemporay dance studio rather than the one at my school.
- I also would have done alot more research into final cut pro as i had alot of difficultys with the softwear due to me not understanding.
- Finally i would have included a more glamourous choice of clothing for the artist, however it was my sister and she lives in London so when i got the opportunity to film her it was quite rushed.
- The dance routine was proffesional and looked like something out of a real media peice
- The shots all matched well with no continuity errors
- The symbolism which was a key part to my video was portrayed effectively.
- "the digi pack doesn't look like normal ones" i do agree with this comment however i had intended to challenge to ideas of a normal digi pack and make it more simplistic and artistic focusing on the symbolism.
- "the advert looks very professional with the texts reinforcing this" i do agree with this, i am extremly happy with my advert however comments contrasting with this read " It looks rushed and more software could have been used" which i also agree with. I would have liked to use photo shop however i do not understand how to use it and did not have the time to research into it.
Overall I have learnt a lot from audience feedback, it has helped me to gain a better understanding about the conventions of such media products, has helped me to identify my target market as well as ultimately shaping how all of my texts have turned out. The feedback has also shown me how I could improve my products.
Evaluation- In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
When starting this product i did a significant amount of research into the conventions and forms to allow my products to be as real and successful as the other products.
My main product which is the pop video i believe uses and challenges all of the conventions of a 'pop' video. I choose to do a 'teleivsed bard' video which as Goodwin stated provides a storyline within the video however i also made scenes which enable the audience to identify that it is a pop video.
At the start of my video you see the character in a dance studio with mirrors, the mirrors symbolise a pop video as it is one of the conventions which enable it to be classed as pop. It shows the character reaching in the air and slowly going down, whilist doing this the lyrics read ' gravity, gravity, gravity, gravity'. This allows the lyrics and visuals to match as her becoming lower represents 'gravity' as it pulls people back to the ground. This potrays a deeper meaning to the video whereas the dance studio, mirrors and dance sequences are potraying the genre similar to 'pixie lotts' 'girls and boy'.
The next shot which is a key theme in my video is close up on the characters face and you see her sing the lyrics. This is another convention which i used as it enables the audience to focus on the lyrics which are being sung whilist also letting the audience identify with her facial expression to portray the tone of the video.
The next shot which is a key theme in my video is close up on the characters face and you see her sing the lyrics. This is another convention which i used as it enables the audience to focus on the lyrics which are being sung whilist also letting the audience identify with her facial expression to portray the tone of the video.
I used a 'memories' box to allow the audience to understand the relationship between her and her dad as there isn't any talking in 'pop'videos so i had to use visual shots to convey the information to the audience that they needed to know. I used shots such as over the shoulder and close ups.m This is similar to videos such as 'Christina Agulari, beautiful' which i did analysis on in my research where she uses images and shots to convey what we need to know about the characters to understand the underlying message to the video.
Another symbol i use within my video is the 'necklace'. You see a close up shot of her putting it on before she goes to see her dad. Later on in the video you see her rip it off however i choose to slow it down so you can see that she really means it.To conform with the conventions i choose to have each chorus in the dance studio with the character dancing infront of the mirrors. Goodwins theory states "There is frequently reference to notion of looking (screens within screens, telescopes, etc) and particularly voyeuristic treatment of the female body" I choose to confrom with this is as i still want my character/ popstar to be idolised by her audience, which needs her to be portrayed as 'sexy and good looking'. This is like 'Girls Aloud' in all of the music videos they are seen to be very 'sexy and glamourous' however unlike my video there 'selling point' is that whereas i wanted my video to be about the deeper meaning in the lyrics and video, rather than what she looks like.
At the end of the dance sequence when she moves diagonly from one corner of the room to another there is a shift in the camera. I used this as a symbol again, it represents the shift in gravity when she dances, the release of emtion and anger she feels towards her dad when she dances. This would attract my audience as they would be able to relate to it for example if they dance, do sports or sing they would know that they can really express themselves when dancing and forget about everything. I think this devolps the forms and conventions of real videos as symbolism isn't the main focus of pop videos yet i have made it a key concept to mine whilist still using the main conventions featured in other videos.
In my video she chucks a glass of water over her dad, i used slow motion in this shot so the auidence could identify the meaning of it. It portrays the anger and hatrid she feels towards her and the water is all the things she wants to say being poured over him. This is a popular convention of pop videos with it being used, similarly, to convey emotions as when you see it slowed down you can focus the emotions between them. At the end of the video you see her walking away, this is done in many videos. To portray the ending of the video whilist also shwoing the ending of the relationship between her and her dad. Overall i believe my video uses many of the conventions however it also develops them to allow it to become a 'televised bard' with a deeper meaning and an indepth storyline.
My first ancillary product which is the digi pack i belive challenges the conventions of a typical pop digi pack.Again before starting i did alot of research into what to include and what not to include in your digi pack and did find the conventions of what makes a digi pack. Many of the digi packs i analysied before making mine featured picture after picture of the artist, som ebeing close up shots, long shots, and even some stills from their videos. However i decided to challenge it as i believe in my video i didnt really chanllenge much conventions to the extent i could have so choose to do it in my ancillary product. On the front i did use a picture of the artist which does conform to conventions however i did this so that the auience could identify it was her album when looking in shops such as Zavi and HMV. However the other pictures i choose to insert are all the main symbols i talked about above which represent deeper meanings for example the ballet shoes and the necklace. I had choosen to keep the back cover of the digi pack like all others with the list of the songs and the bar code as with out these it wouldnt be a digi pack! I also included the name and title of the cd on the front of the cover to allow the audience to identify who it is, which is one og the basic components to a digi pack. Overall i believe my product challenges typical forms and conventions of digi packs as it takes a more 'simplistic' and 'abstract' look rather than just featuring pictures of the artist looking 'glamourous'. My second ancillary product is a advert for the album. I choose the picture which features on the front of my album to be the background of my advert so the audience will identify them together which is a key conventions of adverts to link the pictures back to the original product. I also gave a breif description 'DEBUT ALBUM GRAVITY OUT NOW TO BUY AND DOWNLOAD. INCLUDES BRAND NEW HITS TURN IT UP AND SMILE PLUS MANY MORE. ALSO BONUS TRACKS AVAIABLE TO DOWNLOAD FROM I TUNES NOW' i put this in capitals so it would stand out to the reader however i kept the same font used in my digi pack which is a conventions so there is no continuity errors. I also choose to include 5 star- The Guardian which again is a key concept as it attracts the audience into purchasing the product which is what i found out in my audience research.
To conclude i believe my products all conform to the conventions in some ways otherwise it would not be recongnised as a 'pop' video for example or an advert. However i have tired to devolp the conventions to allow new ideas to be portrayed.
PROBLEM..
I am unable to upload my final video. It has been on my computer for about a month and when i went to upload it yesterday it to here it kept saying 'sorry there has been a problem unable to upload' so i went to change it to a you tube video and it said it was gonna take 375 minutes. I did it but there was an error when uploading and there is no sound and also when i go to upload from my you tube videos it can not be located. I was wondering if you have already seen it on the Macs at school that you will be able to mark it from there? I spoke to Mrs Watkin and she said that should be ok?

Distrubtion
My pop video is going to be disturbed around the UK and also America to gain more audience and successful. There are many record labels around for example...
All of these record labels are conglomerate company's within the media which is what my artist would be signed to. This is because the company would be able to do cross media with my songs, for example they would be able to include it in 'Sony' films. Or advertise it and give it great re views on the 'virgin media' channels. This would allow my target audience to increase due to the increase of promotion and more money would be made.
Costumes
The first costume of the video will be the main character in her dance outfit which will consist of
-ballet shoes
-tights
-a baggy t shirt
-a leotard
The second costume will be just a casual outfit, for example
-jeans
-a t shirt/jumper.
I have decided to focus on more 'simple' and less 'glamorous' clothing than other pop videos i have analysed due to me wanting the audience to focus more on the storyline and meaning of the video rather than what she looks like. Although she still is going to look 'nice' as the conventions of a music video do portray an 'attractive' star.

Props....
Within my pop video there are going to be hundreds of props, however i'm going to focus on the main ones which will be noticed in my video.
The girl in my video is going to be wearing a similar necklace to this, which her dad gave her and will be a key prop in the video. It is also a key symbol of the relationship between them, she puts the necklace on to symbolizes the hope in which she carries as she hopes the meeting with her dad will be successful. Also the fact she keeps it in the special box shows that she does wish to have a relationship and treasures the times they have had and the things he has brought her.
Another prop will be a box in the characters bedroom which holds pictures and memorabilia of her and her dad that she will go through in the video to allow the audience to understand that they don't have a good relationship.
I will also need a cup filled with water which she can throw over her dad in the later part of the video.
All of these props will allow the storyline to be conveyed easier and more clear whilst also adding to the realism of the story portrayed in the video.
Locations
I am thinking of possible locations that i could include in my pop video-
A dance studio...
I thought that a bedroom would be a great location as it would be the characters bedroom where you'd be able to understand the character as its he own space.
A school...
I thought of having a possible school location. This is where you'd be able to see the main character and the problems she faces, however i believe that a location like this would more suit a short film rather than a pop video.
A house...
With my idea being based upon the relationship between father and daughter it seems ideal to have a location in their home which could be the basis of the storyline.
After looking through possible locations i think that the dance studio, house and bedroom would be ideal for my pop video. However the school isn't really involved in my storyline so would be out of place, also my main character is going to be older than the age of school pupils as i believe that teenage girls look up to older people rather than people younger than them.
A dance studio...
I thought of a dance studio as most of the 'pop' videos i analyse have included dance scenes. Also having it in a dance studio with all the mirrors allow one of the main pop video conventions to be shown, mirrors. However i also want my video to have a story line so i am going to need more locations to make that possible.

Idea One:
The first idea i thought of was to keep the basis of the original idea 'love' however deepen the video with an actual storyline:
I would have two main characters, a boy and a girl similar ages around 20. I would show the up and downs to relationships following there lives closely including split screens to convey how they both feel and how its different from each other. It would end up with them both being together happy together. I would include dancing to allow it still to have 'pop' conventions.

It would end up with them both being together happy together. I would include dancing to allow it still to have 'pop' conventions.
However a downfall of this idea is that is doesn't really differ from the original video, the meaning of the videos are both the same, they both are focusing of love between couples. However i would be changing the original video due to a deepened storyline.
Idea Two:
My second idea is again to keep the storyline of love however change it to the love and different relationships between fathers and daughters.
I would show the main character and how she struggles to cope with not seeing her dad and how she feels towards him. I would have the main character doing a little bit of dancing to show the conventions of pop videos, the dancing bit would be filmed in a dance studio where there are lots of mirrors again more pop conventions.
This idea i believe is better than the first due to a different aspect than the original video also it would target my audience for suitably with it being 'teenagers'.
Idea Three:
My third idea is to completely challange the conventions and have a boy as the main character who is singing about his love for another boy. This idea would really exploit the conventions of 'pop' and also provide a detailed and extremly contraversal video. However i believe that this would be a too detailed story and i would not be able to portray the story in the short time in which the song i have choosen is. Also it would decrease my target audience as not many people would be able to relate to the story, which is what i intend to do.
After thinking for a while about all three of my ideas i have decided to go with Idea 2. I did this as i believe its a compramis between all three. It still challenges the typical 'young love' by changing it to the 'loss' of love between family members which i believe would attract my target audience idealy as everyone knows all teenagers have a hard time with their parents when they are growing up and vice versa.

Lyrics to 'Gravity'
Gravity (x6)
Stop pullin' me
I know that you still haven't found you,
And when I wanna stand on my own too
Suddenly you start to show
Signs of what is possible
Then you're back to your ways
And I let me down
Tell me why I keep tryin'a stay around
When all my family
They always telling me
To be through with you
And I know that deep down I'm callin' time on you
On you
On you
Every time I'm ready to leave
Always seem to be
Pullin' in the wrong direction
Divin' in with no protection
Man, you can't keep steerin' me wrong
Oh gravity
Pullin' me back
Pullin' me in
Why you pullin' me back
Pullin' me in
Just like gravity
Gravity (x5)
I know I betrayed but I'm made to
Ignore the universe when I see you
Cause every night the stars will shine
Verging into U-turns times
Anythin' that they can just to change my mind
When I pass your road I can't help rewind
What is wrong with me?
All that I wanna be is
Through with you

Final Idea.
I have finished all my research and i think i am ready to start planning my own pop video and ancillary piece, my digi-pak.
My initial idea is to do Pixie Lott's song 'gravity'
My initial idea is to do Pixie Lott's song 'gravity'
I have chosen to do this video as i believe that there is no 'storyline' in this video, it focuses on the artist and just shows her dancing. So i aim to add a story line to the video, still focusing on the 'main character' however adding a storyline to make it more of a 'televised bard'. I still want to attract the same target audience however i aim to do it in a different way.

Planning.
After looking through many pop videos and analysing them whilst studying the conventions and different ideas into them i think i am ready to plan my own pop video. I have different ideas that i am going look into to see which one i like best and also other people so that it could be very successful .
However first of all i am going to do research into my ancillary product. I am interested in doing a digi-pack for my c.d, so i am going to so some in depth analysis of them so i can understand how i can link mine into my pop video.

How Gender is represented in Pop Videos- 'Girls Aloud Love Machine'
I have chosen to look at how gender is represented in Pop videos as I believe representation is a key factor into targeting the chosen audience. Girls Aloud are a great example as they have been in mainstream media for almost 10 years now and have a very large fan base. Also, not only are they famous for their music they all have gone on and made their own careers expand into various things for example Cheryl does TV and Nicola does fashion. They would not be able to do this without being extremely popular with their target audience and I am interested in how they appeal to them as I would like my pop video to be as successful and with a similar target audience.
At the start of the video there is some very ‘classy’ music being played with a text over the video reading
‘THE ESKIMO CLUB’
After you see the girls appear walking into the club with a close up on the legs and also on their party dresses. There is also a long shot on them flirting with the band and portraying them as having lots of male attention. This appeals to the audience as it shows them to be popular like many teenage girls wish to be. The next shots are of a bar man making cocktails very ‘stylishly’ with the girls having a laugh portraying them as fun and ‘cool’ as the bar is conveyed as contemporary.
The dresses of the girls are all different however all are the same style; they show cleavage, there legs are on show which reveal their tanned and very slim bodies which portrays them as being ‘attractive’ and would appeal greatly to the male audience as well as allowing them to be idolised by the female audience.
There are plenty of close up shots on the different instruments, champagne and people dancing which again reinforces the cool and contemporary feeling about the girls. I have also noticed that lighting is used greatly to represent the gender. For example this shot of Nadine shows spotlights and beams focusing and highlighting her in the mid shot of her on her own. It highlights her figure showing that it’s very important in the representation of women whilst also showing them as ‘bright’ and ‘fun’ which is what they want to be perceived as.
There are also mid shots of the girls doing dance routines on the table conveying them as quite rebellious as ‘normal’ people don’t often get the chance to do that which appeals to the target audience of teenagers as they all wish they could be rebellious.
Most of the camera shots featured in the video are close ups of the 5 girls faces to portray the ‘beauty’ and ‘attractiveness’ of them to the audience again conveying the am being able to be ‘idolised’ as many young girls will want to try and look like them. Also near the end of the video there is a continuous long shot of the dance floor with Girls Aloud dancing in their dresses with a large group of people, which portrays the women as popular and ‘sexy’ as the dancing could be perceived as that.
To conclude Girls Aloud have been portrayed as confident, confident and attractive women which is what the target audience want which is a factor to why they have succeed so well.

More indepth analysis of Pop Videos
I have looked deeper into music videos to get a deeper understanding of more technical conventions to help me to be able to plan my video correctly.
2. Conventions of solo artist performance:
Mis en scene:
this refers to the arrangements of performers and props on stage or in a scene for a production of a music video or any other media text. Mis en scene puts importance on the representation of something. An example is, ‘Mad by Neyo’ it involves him walking down a road alone, being isolated in a room which reflects his isolation from his lover. Also the props include hats and dark clothes which reflect his mood. Similarly the light is kept very dark as its black and white; this connotes the angry and depressed mood.
Craig Davis’s theory
1. Conventions of the band performance:
a degree of authenticity of the performance is sought by the band and the director so we find lip-sync close-up, mimed playing of instruments, repetition of chorus shots to enhance. ‘Repeatability’, unusual camera shots and angles e.g. the micro camera shots. Attached to the neck of a guitar, sweeping crane shots to film audience reaction to it.

2. Conventions of solo artist performance:
Dance routines to enhance ‘repeatability’ a first person mode of address directly engaging the viewer through the camera which involves many close up shots of eyes rolling and gesturing (see how these conventions have been adopted by ‘Pop Idol’ contestants in a bid to appear professional and authentic)and if the video is a hybrid form cutting between performance and narrative then the solo artist or band lead singer often becomes part of the narrative story, acting as narrator and participant at the same time (see Jarvis Cocker in Pulp’s video for ‘Babies’)
Camera shots:
Pop videos tend to include many long shots, close ups and mid shots. This is to create emphasis on the artist, location and emotions. Also, close ups are used not only to show emotions but to reflect the words of he song with the movement of the lips of the artist.

Camera Movement:

Editing:
Jump cuts is the predominant editing technique used in pop videos. This is because this allows a sudden change from one scene to another. Similarly transitions such as fade and dissolve are very common in music videos as they create a different effect to cuts.

Lighting:
Some pop videos are black and white which help emphasize a particaular mood and some videos have artificial lighting which put the artist in an enhanced look.

Christina Aguilera 'beautiful' as a 'televised bard'
In Christina's video the visual images follow closely with the lyrics which allows a story to be told to the audience. I have decided to look at her video in particular as for my pop video i would like to follow the same idea as her, telling a story through the use of the conventions of a pop video.
The song starts with her singing "Don't look at me" at this point there is an extreme close up on her face. This is so you can see her say the lyrics clearly so it must be a key message to the story in the video.
Then follows lots of different visuals, mainly mid shots. This allows the audience to identify the characters which are going to be included in the video and also key in the storyline. However it also allows the audience to identify the basis for the story line in seeing that all the characters are very different.
You then hear the lyrics "Now and then i get insure, from all the pain, im so ashamed" The mis en scene of the scene creates the feeling in which she wants to impact on the audience, she is wearing all dark clothes, the lighting is very poor and the room is dark, empty and gloomy, leaving the audience feeling similar.
You then see another two images, one close up, one a mid shot through the mirror. This images explore the key idea for the video; everyone is beautiful no matter how they look.
Again you see an extreme close up on her face whilst she sings the chorus" I am beautiful no matter what they say words can't bring me down" The close up allows the audience to be able to just focus on the lyrics showing that they are very important in the storyline.
There is then a image shown of a girl getting beaten up, this disturbing image comes at the point when the lyrics are "Words can't bring me down, so don't you bring me down today" the words are almost ironic as when they say dont bring me down she gets pushed to the floor. However this strong imagery allows the misconception of people which is the moral of this story to be shown through great devices.
However after this, the visuals change. For example the two guys staring at each other kiss, the man who was staring in the mirror puts on his makeup
Which shows through the development of the song and lyrics the storyline has increased with the audience now identifying everyone is beautiful in there own way.
You also see lots of the typical conventions of pop videos for example the use of mirrors. However throughout the pop video the shots of Christina are only of close ups or mid shots of her in the same room. Yet through the use of clips from other people and the development of them being 'normal' images then to them being gay, or skinny or transsexual and the lyrics developing into her saying
"cause we are beautiful no matter what they say
Yes, words won't bring us down, oh no
We are beautiful in every single way
Yes, words can't bring us down
Don't you bring me down today"
Overall Christina's pop video beautiful has been extensively conveyed as a 'televised bard' with a story being told throughout with the use of visual images, not of the pop start herself. And the mirroring between her lyrics and what is shown.
Although i have analysed some pop videos i have done some further research into pop videos, i found plenty more information which has allowed me to look deeper into the conventions.
The purpose of a music video is to sell the song, sell the artist and to convey the songs meaning. To successfully achieve these music videos has conventions which they are able to follow.
There are three main types of music video, these being a commercial exhibitionist, televised bard and an electric shaman. A commercial exhibitionist video is based all around the artist where there will be a large number of close-up shots of them used to sell them as well as their music. An example of a commercial exhibitionist is Katy Perry California Girls where the video follows her in the candy land. A televised bard is where the music video tells the audience a story which related to the lyrics of the song, an example of this is Christina Aguilera beautiful where she is shows that everyone is beautiful in their own way. An electric shaman is the least used type of music video where artistic images are used and there are no camera shots of the artist. An example of this is Gnarls Barkley crazy.
Once the type of music video has been established the other conventions are used to make up the music video, these being: the music demonstrating the genre and characteristics e.g. through the speed of editing, a relationship between music and visual, a number a close up shots of the artist, the use of voyeurism and intertextual references.
Goodwin’s music video analysis
Andrew Goodwin writing in ‘Dancing in the Distraction Factory’ (Routledge 1992)
- Music videos demonstrate genre characteristics (e.g. stage performance in metal video, dance routine for boy/girl band).
- There is a relationship between lyrics and visuals (illustrative, amplifying, and contradicting).
- There is a relationship between music and visuals (illustrative, amplifying, and contradicting).
- The demands of the record label will include the need for lots of close ups of the artist and the artist may develop motifs which recur across their work (a visual style).
- There is frequently reference to notion of looking (screens within screens, telescopes, etc) and particularly voyeuristic treatment of the female body.
- There is often intertextual reference (to films, TV programmes, other music videos etc).
I am now going to look deeper into the different types of pop videos, i am going to analyse a video perceived as a ' televised bard' as i am interesting in doing this with my video.

One of the first shots we see is of Pixie Lott walking through the door. We see a close up shot of her walking through the door with her legs out. This would appeal to her audience as it shows her to be attractive and 'flaunting' herself which would interest people into watching her pop video.
One of the next shots we see is a close up of a radio. This happens just at the music kicks in which is one the the typical conventions of a music video as it matched the lyrics to a visual picture
Shortly after the lyrics are "im looking in the mirror and i think im liking what i see". Here you see people with a mask which has pixies face on, which again matches the lyrics to the shot on screen.
When the chorus starts the lyrics are "All the girls and the boys you got it going on" Whilst she is singing this the girls and boys in the video come to the dancefloor ready to dance, again matching the lyrics to the visual shots
Throughout the pop video there are plenty of shots of Pixie Lott having a laugh and joking around with her friends. This demonstrates the genre of the music very well as in pop videos there are always dance routines of the pop star and they also represent them as 'fun' and 'bubbly'.
There are also many close ups on the artists face, this is a very popular convention as it allows the audience to identify with the artist and understand any recurring motifs that develop over their work.
Shortley after you hear the lyrics " I can see the silhouettes dancing up against the wall" you see on screen a mid shot of Pixie and a boy against a white wall almost mirroring a silhouette which again is matching the lyrics and the visual shot.
Again there is another dance routine which is repeated greatly throughout this pop video
Overall Pixie Lotts video Girls and Boys includes many of the conventions in which make a pop video so different to all the other genres.
